Certificate of Good Storage Practices (GSP)

Referring to the Decision of the Minister of Health No.2701/2001/QG-BYT dated 29th June 2001, “Good Storage Practices" are particular methods appropriated for preserving and transporting materials and products at all manufacturing stages, including preservation, storage, transportation and distribution, to ensure pharmaceutical have the exact prescribe quality when deliver to customers.

To achieve this certification, besides owning a modern warehouse system that ensures factors such as temperature, humidity, fire protection system,… as authorised, enterprises need to implement export-import procedure and management system software according to the standards of WHO.

In Vietnam, GSP is a prerequisite for direct import of pharmaceutical products.

Certificate of Good Distribution Practice (GDP)

Pharmaceutical distribution includes transportation and preservation of drugs from manufacturer warehouses or from distribution centers to customers or to intermediaries or between distribution points and intermediate storages, by various means of transport.

Referring to the Decision of the Minister of Health No.12/2007/QD-BYT dated 24th January 2007, “Good Distribution Practices” (GDP) is a part of quality assurance, to ensure prescribed drug quality throughout the distribution process.

Adhering GDP principles enable enterprises to prevent products from harsh environmental conditions, thus contributing toward the management of product-quality stability in the market.
